Positive section of review
The place is like a small Village of what it seems foreigners or tourists zone. The hotel is very very nice, the staff is kind, you have some free activities like riding bike for free for two hours, 15 mins massage, and Yoga classes with a very nice teacher. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are beautiful the only thing are bathrooms are a little bit uncomfortable and the daylight for the rooms is a little bit annoying because they dont have a blockout at the top of the windows so you will wake up very early. The food in the restaurant is also very good.

Smart Comfort is my preferred place to stay.in Sanur. It's a great location, the staff are friendly and respect your privacy if you need some down time. Facilities are great. You can cook in your room, but with so many great restaurants around you don't need to if you don't want to. The pool is refreshing after a day out.

The food was great, the area and location was wonderful. Great location for snorkling and snorklers provided. The rooms were also great and nicely set up (although could be a tiny bit cleaner). I think it was one of the better choices available in the area.

Would have been nearly amazing visit if the staff would not have tried to rip us off when we were leaving. In general, service was rather limited (it would take some chasing and another 30-60 mins to get a drink, for e.g.). Moreover, the pool was undermaintained, the swimsuits of the kids were all green after swimming which means that the ph is not well adjusted. In the evenings you had locals who would come hang out at the beach right in front of out bungalow and nothing was said or done (we did not raise a concern as we were not aware of the regularity). To me as a woman this was rather creepy and unfomfortable as they were all young men. It felt that it was a bit going out of hand because the owners were not around.

I met wonderful local people at the lodge. We went tubing and elephant washing together. I had an unforgetable stay due to the kind-hearted, fun people I met.

I thought I booked the Chalet but it was a standard room. The quality was low, it was "rustic basic" rather than standard. The room was neglected with dirty walls and floors and a hardly functioning shower. Its a place for a night just to sleep. A price of 3-4£ per night would be more adequate than 5.80£, which is what I paid for other Standard Rooms, which were nice and comfortable.

There was some stains on the upholstery in the room. Some of the staff didn’t have very good English comprehension around the bar and main restaurant, when asking for basic directions to the nearest elevator, and again when wanting to preorder dinner for my son (with the nanny). And check-in wasn’t timely - we arrived at 2:30pm for the 3pm check-in and the room wasn’t ready until close to 3:30pm. That’s a bit annoying when you’ve paid good money for a 5 star experience. The staff were otherwise very nice and helpful.
