Miyajima, Japan
Positive section of review
Immaculate view from the room. Make sure to book the sea viewing rooms. You get to experience the Ryokan style stay. Private onsens are available too on prior booking. Need to book dinner and breakfast prior as well. For vegetarians - no dinner options. Breakfast is still manageable with salads and breads but nothing grand. Shuttle service is provided between the station and hotel. Night cruise - Worth going for. Many reviews highlight rude staff. On the contrary - they were really wanting to help. Language is a barrier and one needs to be patient. They all intend to help but we need to remember Miyajima is a small place - cannot get city like cosmo treatment.

Could introduce some vegetarian food options

The hotel is around 5-7 mins walk to Ikebukuro station. Just walk directly from the hotel...very easy. Many convenient stores are nearby the hotel. Restuarants are surrounded the hotel. We can walk to Don Quijote. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Kitchen in room is good. Also,I like the seprerate part of the bathroom;shower and bathtub area, toilet area, which is very convenient for 4 persons in the room. Laundry room is superb. Many washing machines are available. The waiting area is so cozy!

Hakone, Japan
Positive section of review
The onsens were amazing, the best I visited in Japan. The all day restaurant was useful and reasonable. The massage chairs were great - but I wish there had been instructions in English too
Negative section of review
The staff spoke no English at all, although they said in their advertisements that they do. I could not get my 3 day Hakone pass to work and they were almost rude in their non-help. Eventually holding up a phone saying "go to station". I speak some Japanese so was disappointed that they were so uncaring . I also wanted to buy a yukata when I left but the girl just stared at me or through me so I gave up. I would have loved to have bought one!

Although the room was small like many in hotels across my stay in Japan, the arrangement made it feel large and airy. It had a lovely view as I was on the 14th floor

I wish the toilet had a proper drying rack which wasn’t above the toilet seat
Hiroshima, Japan
Positive section of review
Close to station. Just a functional stop over - nothing too great about hotel except a good/clean/hygienic place. 7 mins walk from the station.
Negative section of review
It serves the purpose but the only hotel I came across in Japan which does not have a water station or any drinking coffee/tea. They would direct you to the vending machines.
Kyoto, Japan

Modern stylish hotel, nice coffee, good breakfast

Smaller room, quite expensive for what you are actually getting. The bathroom was very small and had a feel of being in a container for construction workers. We did not extend our stay as initially planned.
