The hotel could do with a bit of renovation

At first we were given a room with a view directly onto the car park and a van sitting right outside our window. We asked for a room with a better view and were given one, on the 1st floor, without any problems. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were good.

i can honestly say there was not a single disagreeable moment in my stay, centre of town yet quiet cosy lounge with a view over the river loved every thing about this hotel.

the staff although many of them were very young far exceeded my expectations of friendliness, professionalism and were very helpful with sharing local knowledge of the area to improve our overall stay, places to visit what's on and where to eat outside of the hotel, not that we really needed to as the dining was lovely with many locals using the restaurant every day testament to how popular the food is. breakfast is hearty with plenty selection and from fresh local produce. would certainly recommend.

It felt a bit like walking into a care home for the elderly and as we came back in, the hotel smelt of school dinners. In the morning, the hotel did smell fresh.

Everything in the hotel was fine, it just felt like we were staying in an assisted living community.

The room was comfortable and being able to walk around Wick, was good. We were very impressed and highly recommend that people check out the Wick heritage museum.

We felt that some areas of the room were slightly tired. There was a broken wardrobe and for our tastes felt the room could do with some updating.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with a good menu selection in the restaurant. There was lots of offering for breakfast both hot and cold. We slept very well during our stay.

Nothing bad to report. Was nicer than I expected.

Nice hotel, cozy feel with the old-feel decor (in a good way) and the plush carpets. Breakfast was a really nice buffet and a member of the public even came in to buy breakfast. Room was really nice and spacious.

Soundproofing between floors could be improved, unfortunately my upstairs neighbour started moving about at 5.30am.

Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. Bed was huge, and super comfy, and as the room looked into the rear of the hotel it was lovely and quiet.

The room was a little hot and the window did not open. My meal on Saturday night had been cooked in advance and reheated, hence the Chicken Balmoral was dried out and my vegetables were overcooked.

Lovely hotel with very attentive staff. Breakfast was delicious.

We didn't see the other room so not sure if they are all the same. But do feel that the room is a bit small for 2 persons and a furbaby.

    1) we like the staff serving breakfast. We went for breakfast at 0930hr not realising it was passed the breakfast. But the staff was so helpful. They set up a spot for us and made sure that we got breakfast. They were patient, friendly and made us feel attended to. 2) though we have to pay for our dog to stay over but it was nice to come to the room, seeing that there was treats, blanket, towel and a bowl for him.
